Federal Government of Nigeria Postgraduate & Undergraduate Scholarship Awards 2012/2013



Minister of Education, Prof. (Mrs.) Raqayyatu Ahmed Rufai hereby invites applicants from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions to participate in the 2012/2013 selection interviews for scholarship awards tenable in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

Eligibility

1.) Undergraduate, HND & NCE Scholarship
All applicants should be registered full–time students in their second year or above in recognized Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education. They should also obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.

2.) Postgraduate Scholarship
Applicants must be registered full–time students of recognized Federal and State owned universities and must have a minimum of second class Honors (upper division) in 1st degrees.

General Information
Duly completed application forms should be submitted at the various interview centers. Completed application forms should be accompanied with
  • Photocopies of: Letter of admission to the institution, Current Course Registration Form and Student Identity Card
  • Two passport –size photographs with name fully written at the back

Method of Application
Application forms are available online at www.fsb.gov.ng and wich should be filled and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD and Registrars of their institutions.

All qualified candidates who have fully completed the prescribed application forms for the Nigerian Awards scholarship are to attend selection interviews as scheduled below.

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Invitation for Aptitude Test



National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) - The Commission was established by the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007, with responsibilities for implementing the National Identity Management System; managing the National Identity Database; issuing General Multi-purpose (smart) Cards (GMPCs); and providing Identity Verification Services in Nigeria.

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) invites candidates who applied for the its Massive Nationwide Graduate & Experienced Recruitment 2012 to come for aptitude test. The positions were advertised in December, 2012.

The Aptitude Test are to be done in batches, about 158,000 candidates applied for the advertised positions, I don't really know how many were invited for the Test, but some people were even scheduled to take the Test on Sunday, 24th February.

Some shortlisted candidates have been complaining that the exam center given to them is different from the preferred center they chose during the application.

The Selection Proces:

What you will require to be successful

Every six months you will establish yourself in a new country, business area, job and team. It is quite a challenge so it is especially important that you are a fast learner who is friendly, adaptable and outgoing.
You will need to:
  • Be internationally mobile
  • Speak a minimum of three languages fluently (one of which must be English) with preference given to European languages
  • Have or are about to complete a degree (preferably a Master’s degree)
  • Up to two years of relevant work experience in your chosen function, with at least 6 months gained outside your home country
  • Have proven leadership skills
  • Have affinity with chosen field of specialisation
  • Have a driving licence
What you can expect:
  • STAGE 1: Fill out the application form. If your application is successful, you will be invited to complete an online assessment.
  • STAGE 2: Upon a successful online assessment, a telephone interview will follow. Based on the outcome of the telephone interview, you may be invited to a face to face interview close to your home or study location.
  • STAGE 3: If successful at stage 2, you will join a two-day assessment event. This event combines analysing data, presentations, role playing and socialising.
  • STAGE 4: Finally, if you are successful, you will be offered a place in the 2013 HEINEKEN International Graduate Programme.
